To enhance resources and support for FC2 internal condoms, we went straight to the source – our customers. We were recently joined at the US Conference on HIV/AIDS (USCHA) by Joy Lynn Alegarbes, a leading FC2 expert, who provided O-Cube demonstrations. And we fielded a customer survey to capture FC2 feedback and ensure our efforts include this essential input.
After anecdotally hearing from customers that they contend with lack of awareness and usage familiarity when promoting internal condoms as a safer sex option, we knew gathering feedback on the front lines was critical to expanding advocacy.
The FC2 education and training focus at USCHA is one example of our efforts. We were thrilled with the level of attendee engagement at the event! Most had little product awareness; but once they learned about FC2, they were extremely interested to hear more about internal condoms and the advocacy benefits they provide.
Customers Indicate Lack of Awareness is the Top Issue Impeding FC2 Internal Condom Adoption
The customer survey we recently fielded reinforced much of the feedback we get – lack of awareness is the leading barrier to FC2 usage. We asked public health customers what questions they hear from users about FC2 internal condoms. The graphic below highlights survey comments that are representative of their responses. What is an FC2 condom? How does it work? What are its benefits? It’s evident that education needs to be at the forefront in order to facilitate adoption.

Customers also Indicate More Educational Resources and Marketing Materials are Needed on the Front Lines
To combat the awareness and familiarity challenge, public health customers are hungry for more tools and resources. We included a survey question about what would help their organizations expand FC2 usage in order to better assess their needs. The graphic below highlights a sampling of the feedback we received. In line with the current assortment of education materials we offer, they indicate similar FC2 pamphlets and posters would be beneficial in supporting their advocacy efforts.

We hear our customers loud and clear! We’re working on a pamphlet and other marketing materials for FC2 internal condoms that we hope to share soon. We’re also focusing on gender inclusive instructions and different formats for education and training materials to ensure customers have everything they need. Videos, for example, are an excellent training resource that we’re considering for development. In the meantime, this publicly available FC2 training video is a good reference.
As always, we welcome any opportunity to connect. If you have questions or ideas, please contact us. We love to hear from you!
