Why Condom Fit Matters
Yes, standard condoms fit lots of people perfectly and provide comfort and protection – and that’s great! However, a lot of people struggle with regular condoms causing slippage, erection loss, pain, and discomfort. And when things don’t fit right and don’t feel good, people are less likely to use them. Just like shoes, pants or bras - it’s time condoms reflected the vast range of penis sizes. A well-fitting condom is crucial for both comfort and effectiveness. A condom that’s too tight can lead to discomfort, loss of erection, and even painful red marks (like when you leave a rubber band on your wrist too long). Unlike an arm or a foot, a penis requires proper blood flow to stay erect, so proper condom fit is essential. A condom that’s too snug can cause the dreaded “red ring of death,” erection loss – and thus increase anxiety about performance. On the flip side, many people experience condom slippage with standard-sized condoms, which are too long for 91% of people and also often too loose. When condoms break or slip off, it puts both people at higher risk of STI transmission and unintended pregnancy.

MyONE® Condom Fit Poster: The poster shows common condom fit problems, and links people to go find their proper condom fit. When we bring this poster to events and conferences, it’s quite an eye-catcher and an easy way to start a conversation about condom fit.
MyONE® Sampler Kits: Each sample kit comes with three different sized condom samples (choose from our Snug, Classic, or Large size ranges). Also included is our FitKit® measuring tool to find and adjust fit as needed. Because MyONE has 52 sizes (that's a lot!), we know it'd be too difficult to hand out all sizes in bulk to people. The samplers allow people to get a few samples to take home. They can then test them out, and use the FitKit measuring tool that's included to perfect their fit. A MyONE FitCode (ex. 57F) is the combination of a Width Number and Length Letter. The FitKit® is a quick, accurate way for people to find their MyONE® size. As an educator, you probably have heard the “condoms don’t fit me” response when you’re passing out condoms. The FitKit® is the perfect tool to continue that conversation! We like to respond with something like “That’s actually super common that regular condoms don’t fit everyone properly.
